TYSON - Boxer mix puppy6 views“Tyson,” a handsome tan-and-white Boxer mix, was born approximately June 2017. He’s an awesome boy, both in looks and personality. He loves everybody and gets along great with all other dogs….and cats. Extremely energetic and happy, he needs an active family or parent with time to take him for walks or runs. “Tyson” has the mischievous and goofy Boxer demeanor, and if you turn your back for more than a few minutes, he’ll find something to get into, although he’s easy to re-direct. He LOVES toys, especially ones that squeak and is a determined tug-of-war player. “Tyson” is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and microchipped. You’ll want to get your application in quick for this boy. Go to www.animalserviceleague.org to submit. Fee, $195.Nov 15, 2017

CHLOE - Husky/Australian Cattle Dog mix (?)7 views“Chloe” belongs to another rescue, but ASL is fostering her here in Dowagiac. We’ve had her for about 3 months in order to offer her socialization with other dogs. While she’s always been wonderful with both adults and children, and gets along with cats just fine, we suspect she may have been attacked by other dogs in her early experience. She was very fearful when she first arrived, but within three weeks she came to realize that no one was going to hurt her and began wanting to interact with her housemates. She gets along great with everyone now and has proven highly trustworthy, although when she moves along to her forever home, she will need time to learn that same acceptance with new canine friends. She would do best with a puppy. “Chloe” is about 2 years old herself and still very much a puppy emotionally; well-behaved but with an abundance of energy. She will require a home and caretaker who enjoys lots of activities in which she can be included. I’m sure she’d love to go jogging. And she also loves belly rubs! We really don’t know “what” she is. It would require a DNA test for that, but she’s got some dots underneath that snowy white coat, and she’s about the size of a Husky or German Shepherd.
