“Katy” is a 20# predominantly black-and-white Rat Terrier (possibly mix) that was found wandering down a major highway and rescued by a compassionate tourist. No owner was forthcoming, so you now have the opportunity to make “Katy” a valuable part of your life. She was born approximately June 2007, is spayed, heartworm negative, UTD on her vaccinations and microchipped. She is completely trustworthy in the house (no crate needed) and enjoys human companionship. She also gets along well with other dogs...and cats. It takes a little time to gain “Katy's” trust, and she can be a little bit of a putz when it comes to nail trims and shots, so we're feeling as though an all-adult home will probably be best for her future comfort and happiness. We have come to the concludion that she may have a slight hearing impairment. She does not bite but merely startles fairly easily and is very uncomfortable about certain procedures. Katy needs a confident caretaker who doesn't mind having to adapt a bit to her needs in exchange for kisses, loyalty and loving companionship. |
