Rescued as a stray about to be shot on the back roads of Tennessee, a young couple brought him to Michigan but could not keep him. Born approximately October 2009, “Jax” is a black Lab, possibly mixed with Border Collie, with a white chest patch and freckled toes, and is full of the vim and vinegar enjoyed by all young, healthy pups. He has a somewhat submissive personality, so he gets along well with other dogs and has shown a compatibility with dog-savvy cats. “Jax” is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccinations and tested heartworm negative. He is crate-trained, quiet in the house, but is alert to the arrival of visitors. Quick to learn, “Jax” will make an awesome family companion and kid-friendly playmate. |
