“Onyx” is a very large, handsome, black DSH who showed up on the patio of one of our adopters in the middle of winter. Although that person couldn’t keep him because of the one-pet rule in her complex, she did take him to her vet, who kept and cared for him for the next month, ultimately diagnosing him with toxoplasmosis but negative for FeLV and FIV. He was already neutered and front declawed. We took “Onyx” in and treated him for the toxo, and ultimately discovered that a simple change of food significantly contributed to his “cure.” He’s fine now and is just an awesome kitty….very mellow and affectionate and gets along great with other cats. Fastidious box manners. |
