“Marvin” was not only a mess when he arrived, but when he started recovering and feeling better, he decided to fling litter all over his room, so we christened him “Messy Marvin.” Thankfully, with his full recovery, creating a strikingly handsome white longhair with orange points, he also found his manners, so we’re happy to say that he’s just “Marvin” now. In all honesty, this cat didn’t even look like a cat when he came in, he was in such poor shape. His transformation has been nothing short of amazing. “Marvin” is neutered, and he is currently very healthy, but he did test double-positive (both FeLV and FIV). This is significant only to the extent that it “may” shorten his life overall. However, provided with a stress-free environment and healthy diet, he could very well live out a completely normal feline lifetime. Born approximately November 2003, “Marvin” is a very mellow, friendly and affectionate boy and gets along very well with his current housemates (none of which are “positive” cats), but in the long run, it might be best for him to be an “only” cat.” |
